I'm sure you all join me in congratulating Carol Decker on the birth of her first child. What follows below is the message Carol sent me.

It's a girl!!!

Scarlett Olivia --- born at 3:20 pm on Tuesday the 2nd of June, and weighed 7 lbs on the nose!!!! Reddish hair in a certain light, eyes dark blue so far!!!! Labour lasted for 23 hours!!! Boy, I've never reached so many high "c"s in my life. We are all fine if a little shell-shocked --- will download some photos when we get our breath back!!!
